Despite the oil price drop and a claim by the Nigerian government that oil will be sold at a tiny drop reduced price of N87 per liter, Nigerians across the nation have complained that they are rather purchasing the commodity at about N107 per liter.

With fuel scarcities being encountered across the nation and prices remaining above normal, the mathematics simply does not add up and Nigeria’s masses complain of continuous and increasing hardship with a government that lies to them and betrays them in favor of the cabal at every turn.

Mr. Jimoh Balogun, a commercial transporter said, “they say petrol is N87; where is it? I swear I am tired of this government, it is like na 419 people we put in Aso rock.”

Since June of 2014, global oil prices dropped an average of 57%; this has led to decreased gas pump prices across the world except in Nigeria.

We earlier wrote that the failure of the Nigerian government to decrease pump petrol prices in accordance with market rates was criminal and a violation of the deregulation laws. This triggered the government to pretend to decrease the price by about 10%; but the decrease has not been real.
