This video was shot several months ago, during the Goodluck Jonathan administration. In the video, the Boko Haram/ Islamic State in West Africa leader – Amir, upon interrogation revealed he could not read the Muslim Quran or pray. This was surprising to the Nigerian military interrogating him as it is expected that the “Amir” which means, Muslim leader, should by all means be a well versed Muslim.
Boko Haram and their parent ISIS organisations have been described as political, cum conspiratorial organisations with intentions and aims rather different than what they openly portray.
