At least 14 people were killed and several others injured by Boko Haram gunmen in a Christmas Day attack on a village in northeastern Nigeria, vigilantes said Saturday.

The marauding terrorists killed 14 villagers and burnt every single building, vigilante witnesses reported. The entire hundreds of surviving villagers fled to neighboring Biu. The attack comes after President Buhari’s government announced that it had succeeded in “technically” defeating the terrorists ahead of the December 31st self-chosen deadline. Read story on Vanguard
