Kano Governor Blocks President Jonathan From Accessing Bridge

by Alhassan Haruna Dambatta,

Today, people of Kano were surprised to witness how a record traffic deadlock was created by the visit of Mr. president Goodluck Jonathan to the state.

The president had (not) surprisingly gone to commission a yet to be completed bridge at Gyadi Gyadi, Kano, 6 days to the presidential elections.

An investigation was conducted and the discovery was astonishing: one of our sources from the government circle indicates that a clear instruction was issued overnight by his Excellency, Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso to alert the company executing the flyover contract to use the concrete slabs to block all access to the newly built bridges and that, that was the reason for the waste of time many people encountered during Mr President’s visit.

Further inquiry revealed that an instruction was issued directly from the office of the governor to use concrete slabs and block all access to the bridges; it was further revealed by our sources that the governor was infuriated by the many insults directed at him by the opposition in Kano state especially with his administration’s commemorable use of public funds to finance infrastructures that have presently beautified Kano city and environs. It was reported that the governor was saying that he won’t allow them make use of a bridge built with the money and resources of Kano people.

Today many people have realised how important the structures are, especially in decongestion of traffic within the city. What cannot be denied is the fact that president Jonathan has been humiliated today by Dr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
