The first female to clinch the governorship ticket under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged in Taraba State.
She is Senator Aisha Jummai Al-Hassan, who is currently a senator in the 7th National Assembly representing Taraba North (Senatorial District).
She won the APC primaries with a landslide victory of 2425 votes with other candidates Ibrahim Tumba, Dr Julde S & Yusuf polling 18, 5, and 14 votes respectively.
So far, Senator Alhassan is the only female in the country who will be contesting the governroship seat in 2015.
