Alhaji Dikko Abdulahi, Comptroller –General of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has approved the dismissal of 52 officers of the service for corruption.
This was made known when top executives of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), met with the management team of the service recently in Abuja.
Efforts to plead on behalf of the affected officers by senior officials of the Association of Nigerian Licensed Customs Agents (ANLCA), proved abortive as the dismissal order has been approved by the Customs boss.
Alhaji Dikko said he needed to take the drastic step against the affected officials to serve as deterrent to others.
