The above topic is the Nigerian government reaction to the Annual Report of the London-based Amnesty International that was signed by one Dr. Clement Aduku, Spokesman Ministry of Foreign Affair, Abuja, and dated 03/March/2017. Amnesty International presented a damming Human Rights abuses and violations by the Nigerian government and brutal extrajudicial killings by the Nigerian army. The inhuman Zaria Massacre by the Nigerian army that resulted in the death of 1000+ Nigerians and the case of the more than 14 months illegal detention of the Leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky, were clearly stated in the report under the sub-heading “Freedom of Association”. Amnesty International Annual Report stated:

“Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN), remained in incommunicado detention without trial since his arrest in December 2015. Between 12 and 14 December 2015, soldiers killed more than 350 protesters and supporters of IMN at two sites in Zaria, Kaduna state.

Hundreds of IMN members were arrested and continued to be held in detention facilities in Kaduna, Bauchi, Plateau and Kano states.

On 11 April, the Kaduna state authorities admitted to a Judicial Commission of Inquiry that they had secretly buried 347 bodies in a mass grave two days after the December 2015 massacre.

On 15 July, the Commission presented its report to the state government indicting the Nigerian military for unlawful killings. In December, the Kaduna state government published its white paper on the report, which rejected most of the Commission’s recommendations.”

The reaction of the Nigerian government to this comprehensive Amnesty International Report is a further prove of the oppressive, tyrannical and inhuman savagery that characterize the Buhari administration. Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affair stated:

“The activities of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN) and El-Zakzaky movement in particular, are reminiscent of Boko Haram which have become a menace and a source of concern not only to Nigeria but to the Lake Chad region and the world.”

The total peaceful nature of IMN is never reminiscent of the murderous BokoHaram insurgency that has killed more than 30,000 innocent Nigerians and the killings is still ongoing. What is reminiscent of the murderous BokoHaram and ISIS is the monumental savagery of the Nigerian army in Zaria on the 12-14 December, 2015. The murderous Nigerian army perpetrated all heinous crimes and atrocities known to man against innocent and defenseless Nigerians and murdered more than one thousand Nigerian civilians then wickedly dumped their dead bodies in mass graves at night.

Boko Haram is less than 10 years in Nigeria while IMN is about 40 years in Nigeria. More than 30,000 Nigerians have been killed in the Boko Haram insurgency while the IMN have never killed or harm any Nigerian. Boko Haram is part of the Global murderous Wahhabi terrorism that include ISIS, AlQaeda, Shabbab etc while IMN is a peaceful mass movement of humanity that includes Sunni Muslims and Christians. It was not IMN that murdered 1000+ Nigerians during Zaria Massacre, it was president Buhari that sent the Nigerian army to slaughter 1000+ Nigerians in Zaria and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves at night. The Zaria Massacre was an evil imperialist agenda with the Savage Saudi regime as a front and that was why the bloodthirsty Saudi tyrant called president Buhari four days latter after the inhuman massacre to celebrate and called for more. Sheikh Zakzaky is the biggest obstacle to the African Wahhabi project and that was why he was attacked and held in illegal detention incommunicado by the oppressive Saudi-backed Nigerian regime.

Despite all the provocations and the brutal and inhuman massacres and killings by the Buhari regime against IMN, IMN remain peaceful and organize. IMN continue all its programs and activities across Nigerian towns and cities and went to courts both in Nigeria and the International Criminal Court (ICC) at Hague. This peaceful nature of the IMN made Western Embassies in Nigeria to be in constant contact with IMN leadership. After the Buhari administration murdered 1000+ Nigerians, the murderous cabal launched massive campaigns of calumny and demonization of IMN but those campaigns failed woefully as Nigerians saw them as pack of lies.

On a final note, the reaction of the Nigerian Foreign Affairs Ministry to the Amnesty International Report about the ZariaMassacre and the 14 months illegal detention of Sheikh Zakzaky is a desperate attempt by murderous criminals who slaughtered 1000+ innocent Nigerians and dumped their dead bodies in mass graves to escape justice for their heinous crimes.
