Locals have revealed that they are highly suspicious that the recent “Boko Haram” deadly attacks at the state capital are lobbyist motivated acts by the terrorists who are attempting to use them to push for an amnesty.
The locals suspect that the recent rocket propelled grenade launchs into the capital were suspicious and came from an area according to reports that is too far for Boko Haram to have successfully fired all the way into Maiduguri baring conspiracy.
The locals we spoke to said they are sure that these attacks including Mosque bombs are politically manipulated to push the new Buhari government into the error of granting Boko Haram and their political sponsors some who are well known, an unconditional amnesty.
Locals Reject Amnesty
The locals who vehemently rejected any kind of amnesty for the terrorists said that politicians see an amnesty as an opportunity to embezzle funds and dodge consequences of thorough investigation, and are not requesting this in the interest of the people who have largely been abandoned in the face of terror and suffering by the same officials and elders now requesting an amnesty for so long.
“We have been abused and raped by Boko Haram. there must be no amnesty. See how we are suffering and they want to pity Boko Haram. No!”
Further saying that these officials have in the past confessed that they know names behind Boko Haram but are not talking else “heads will roll.”
A handful of politicians including the governor of Borno, some northern elders including Baba Gana Kingibe and former Chief Justice Mohammed Uwais and past president Olusegun Obasanjo have asked for an amnesty for Boko Haram.
At least 39 people have died in the recent rocket propelled attack and Mosque bombings.
