The Hausa ethnic group has never ruled the nation. A group ‘marginalized’ as are most of 516 ethnic groups in Nigeria, popularly attributed Hausa rule has actually been Fulani only.
Hausa’s are about 20.6% of Nigeria’s population, the second largest group after Yoruba’s (21%). The Fulani are about 9%. Usually, Hausa and Fulani are crudely combined to create a largest block of 29%. The Igbo are about 18%, followed by the Ijaw, 10% and Kanuri, 4%.

Mohammed as being Berom. Neither Babangida nor Abubakar has admitted being
Gwari, even though rumor has it that Babangida in particular is Gwari. Jonathan
is Ijaw, irrespective of what RadioBiafra says.This was my first time of seeing or visiting your web site. Regrettably, you are as rumor mongering and ethnic baiting as your other colleagues in Naija online journalism.
