Three persons were feared dead and about twenty others wounded on August 30th when members of a new pro- Biafra group, the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and security operatives engaged in a shootout the deadly Onitsha.
Analysts had predicted that the Radio Biafra fanatic group was on the routine course to terror and was only waiting for the provocation excuse. Apparently the group is ready to embark on a terror course on the premise of the recent clash.
The station claims that the deaths of the agitators was unprovoked and they were “peaceful protesters on evangelism mission,” however all Nigerian news media reports contested those details describing a shoot-out with armed protesters.
To this effect, Radio Biafra host, Nnamdi Kanu threatened the media too as targets of his revenge.

Pro Biafra protesters have in the recent past used weapons to take over a radio station. In June of 2014, Pro Biafra Zionists killed a police sergeant and wounded another in attempt to take over the Enugu radio station. They were arrested and paraded by the then Jonathan government.
In his speech of September 1st, Nnamdi Kanu said “Boko Haram were very peaceful, it was Nigerian government that kicked it off after they attacked the peaceful Boko Haram and this caused Boko Haram to get violent.”
He said that Nigeria started the terrorism by attacking the “unarmed protesters” and as such he promised his group will mount their “counter-terrorism” measures against the Nigerian state.
In a very angry broadcast in which Kanu insulted blacks as stupid, wicked and evil compared to whites, he said why did the doctors who were Igbo did not treat the IPOB pro-Biafra victims and were first asking for a certificate, when the Nigerian police boss Solomon Arase had just ordered hospitals treat accident and gun shot victims without any police report.
