More violence is being reported in Rivers state with elections not holding in disturbed wards.
Youth throwing objects and police firing shots was reported at Obio Alpo ward.
Rivers state is the home state of Nigeria’s very violent first lady, patience Jonathan being investigated by the ICC. Nigeria’s president and first lady have promoted violence in this hotbed state. The candidate for the governorship of the state, Wike has been accused of organizing youth deadly violence and nefarious activities including the ongoing disruption and rigging.
