INSECURITY: Emir of Bukkuyum, Zamfara Kidnapped – NewsRescue.com

The Emir of Bukkuyum, Zamfara state of Nigeria was kidnapped Friday night.

He was kidnapped in the night as he said his prayers by unknown gunmen who reportedly fired shot sporadically.

His Royal Highness, Emir Of Bukkuyum Alh. Muhammadu Usam was appointed Sarkin Yamma (District Head) of Bukkuyum in the year 2000, and later elevated to the rank of 2nd class Emir of Bukkuyum and member, Zamfara State Council of Chiefs in February 2001. On 27/05/2003, the Emir was upgraded to 1st class Emir, the position he holds to date.
